The Canisius women’s soccer team returns to action Oct. 13 when it travels to Hamden, Conn., to face Quinnipiac. Game time at the Quinnipiac Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium is set for noon. The Golden Griffins will then travel to Dover, Del., to face Delaware State on Monday at 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
• The Canisius women’s soccer team scored two goals in the span of 1:24 midway through the second half and junior goalkeeper Alana Rossi made eight saves as the host Griffs erased a two-goal deficit to earn a 2-2 draw with long-time Niagara Wednesday night at the Demske Sports Complex.
• Canisius knotted the game at 2-2 in the 76th minute after junior Alicia Larsson Valhberg scored her first career goal off an assist feed from fellow junior Margretta Dry.
• Niagara out-shot Canisius 27-10 for the game, with a 10-6 advantage in shots on goal. Each team had five corner kick opportunities in the contest.
• In the first overtime period, Niagara was credited with three shots, including one on goal, and the Purple Eagles earned four more shots in the second overtime session, with Rossi being forced to make two stops to keep the game tied at 2-2.

CANISIUS – QUINNIPIAC SERIES HISTORY
• Canisius and Quinnipiac have played eight previous times, with the Bobcats holding a 5-2-1 lead in the series.
• The two schools first met in 2008 when the Blue and Gold dropped to the Bobcats by the score of 1-0.
• The Bobcats have won the last two contests against the Griffs.

CANISIUS – DELAWARE STATE SERIES HISTORY
• The Griffs and the Hornets have clashed three times, with Canisius leading the all-time series 3-0-0.
• The last time the two teams met was in 2011, when Canisius came away with the 2-1 win.

ABOUT THE BOBCATS
• Quinnipiac is 6-6-1 on the year and 3-2-1 in MAAC play. The Bobcats dropped their last MAAC contest to Monmouth, 4-1, on Oct. 6.
• Senior Madison Borowiec and redshirt sophomore Kelsey Goldring lead the Bobcats with four goals each this season.
• Quinnipiac has gotten 61 saves from junior goalkeeper Olivia Myszewski through the first thirteen games of the season.
• The Bobcats have been out-shot by opponents, 186-150, this season.

ABOUT THE HORNETS
• Delaware State is 2-10-2 on the year. The Hornets dropped their last contest to Navy, 1-3, on Oct. 8 in Annapolis, Md.
• The Hornets are led by junior Jade Jamison, who has tallied five goals this season.
• Delaware State has gotten 34 saves from senior Leslie Fazio through the first fourteen games of the season.
