APALACHIN — The Niagara men’s golf team completed the first round of the Binghamton Invitational on Sunday. The team carded a 296 (+8) overall and is in 13th place.

Nicco Gentile led the Purple Eagles, firing a 71 (-1). After round one, he is tied for 21st place. Wilson Lockwood is tied for 27th place; he shot 72 (E) on the first 18 holes.

Daniel Weimer carded a 75 (+3) and is in a tied for 52nd. Ryan Mihok and Christian Nizamis are tied for 76th and 85th, respectively. Mihok shot 78 (+6) and Nizamis carded an 80 (+8).

The team will play the final round of the tournament on Monday, Oct. 3.
