PRINCETON, NJ – The University at Buffalo track and field team competed in the Sam Howell Invite in Princeton, NJ this Friday. The team saw several personal records on the track.

Six female Bulls competed in the 5000m, all coming away with new personal records. Morgan Mahoney led the way for the Bulls, clocking in at 17:13.22 for ninth place. Right behind her were teammates Charlotte Molloy and Meagan Hopkins. Molloy clocked in at 17:13.69 for tenth, and Hopkins at 17:13.97 for 11th. Rachel Barich, Lauren Reyda, and Laura Libruk all hit new personal records as well clocking in at 17:40.36, 18:02.07, and 18:20.04 respectively.

Also performing well for the Bulls were freshmen Meghan LaTuso, Sylvia Russell, and Caleb Covell. LaTuso clocked in at 11:29.21 in the 3000m steeplechase for ninth place. Russell placed 19th in the 1500m with a time of 4:48.70. Not far behind was teammate Caroline Rusch who placed 23rd with a time of 4:55.83. Covell placed 11th overall in the men’s 5000m with a time of 14:55.67.
