
A 25-year-old Lockport man was arrested this evening and charged with first-degree assault and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
According to Police, Jerry Torres Jr. shot a man in the parking lot of Wendy’s on South Transit Road in the town of Lockport at approximately 7:40 p.m. Troopers had responded to the scene and found that Torres Jr. had fled and a male victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
A Glock 9mm was located. Torres did not have a pistol permit.
Torres turned himself in at SP Lockport on September 26, 2023. Torres was processed and is being held at the Niagara County Jail pending arraignment.
