LEWISBURG, PA. – After 36-holes of action, the Purple Eagles sit in 10th out of 11 teams at the Bucknell Invitational. As a team, Niagara took 12 strokes off its round one score to hold a team score of +97 after two rounds.
 
Alea Griffith posted a +15  after posting scores of 79 and 76 in rounds one and two respectively and currently sits atop the Niagara leaderboard in 21st.
 
Marina Heister took four strokes off her round one score of 83 with a 79 in round two and currently holds down 42nd overall, followed by sophomore Himanshika Sehgal in 51st with a two-round score of 167 (+27). Sehgal’s 70 in round two is her lowest 18-hole score as a Purple Eagle.
 
Freshman Sierra Ashbaugh sits tied for 57th with a 174 over 36-holes, followed by fellow first-year Purple Eagle, Amber Nemis, in 60th with a score of 187. Nemis shot a 90 in round two after posting a 97 in the first round.

“Resiliency is a learned skill, dropping 12 strokes as a team in a hot, humid, and long second round of a 36-hole day demonstrates we’re applying that skill.”
