Rocco NaccaratoRocco Naccarato, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on April 3, 2020 at Elderwood at Grand Island in Grand Island, NY.  Born in Amatea, Italy, he was the son of the late Dominic and Giuseppina (Pirillo) Naccarato.

Rocky, as he was known to his friends, moved from Italy to Venezuela at the age of 22, where he began his work as a tailor and opened his first shop.  In 1956, he moved to Niagara Falls, NY and married Juliet (Aceti) Naccarato at St. Joseph’s Church in 1958.   He worked locally as a tailor at Wallens’, Wake’s, Frank’s, Aldo’s and Pepperday’s Men’s Shops.   He was very skilled at his craft, and honored and respected by all those whom he served.

Rocky was a member of St. John de La Salle Church, where he served as an usher for many years.  In addition, he was very active at the ISDA Volare Lodge 269, where he was the club’s first Sentinel in 1956.  He regularly worked Bingo, decorated for events, and was recognized in 2016 for his service to the Lodge.  Rocco enjoyed bowling, going to the Casino, and taking trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas.

In addition to his wife of 62 years, Rocco is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Anthony) Schipani, his grandson, Michael Rocco Schipani, his sister in Italy, Annina, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by three brothers and one sister.

Due to recent circumstances, funeral services with entombment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery will be held privately for the family.  A memorial service will be announced at a later date.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.  Arrangements by M.J.
