Lucy MangoLucy Mango, 96, of Niagara Falls, N.Y. passed away on April 2, 2020 at her residence under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Clymer, PA she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Theresa (Corsaro) Laurri.

Lucy graduated from Nursing School in Indiana, PA before coming to the area. In 1945, she married Ralph “Jeff” Mango who predeceased her in 1995. Lucy was employed as a registered nurse at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital and for Dr. Salvatore Latona. She was also the “private nurse” for her family.  Lucy enjoyed music, sewing, cross stitching, and cooking, especially making her famous homemade pizza. She enjoyed life and was always there to brighten the lives of her family members and many friends.

Lucy is survived by her daughters Laurie (Mark) Jircitano, Nancy Mango: 3 grandsons – Nicholas, Adam (Kristen) and Vincent (Carley) Stokotelny, her brother-in-law Joseph Calato and his children Carol, Joe and Cathy Calato; 7 great nieces and nephews and their children. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her sister Katherine “Kay” (Joseph) Calato.

Lucy’s family would like to express their appreciation to all of her caregivers especially Bertha and Lisa for their loving and exceptional care as well as Niagara Hospice for their care and support.

Due to recent circumstances, funeral services will be held privately for the family. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Niagara Falls, N.Y. A celebration of Lucy’s life will be held at a later date.
