WINTHROP, M.A. — Freshman forward Dylan Mills has been named Atlantic Hockey’s Rookie of the Week, as announced on Tuesday.

Mills’ first weekend of college play was one to remember. In their opener against AIC on October 12, he bagged three assists, including the primary helper on fellow rookie Ludwig Stenlund’s overtime game-winner. Mills added to his point total by providing the lone goal in their rematch with the Yellow Jackets the following night.

The native of Cottage Grove, Minn. is tied for the conference lead in points (4) and assists (3). His four points are tied for the most among all rookies in the country while his three assists is also tied for second-most. He leads all AHA rookies in assists and is tied for the league lead in points.

The Purple Eagles (1-1-0, 1-1-0 AHA) are on the road this weekend at No. 10 Penn State. Puck drop for Friday, Oct. 19 will be at 7 p.m., while Saturday’s game will get under way at 3:30 p.m.
