A 34-year-old Fredonia man was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree on August 31, 2018 following a call to police by the victim. 

According to New York State Troopers, in April 2018, officers responded to a residence in South Valley for a report of a burglary. James Hanson was observed on camera entering the caller’s residence and leaving with several of the caller’s personal items. Initial attempts to locate Hanson were unsuccessful, however approximately one week afterward, Hanson was arrested for an unrelated charge and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail. Upon Hanson’s release, he was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed.

Hanson was then arraigned in the town of South Valley Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
