A 34-year-old Steamburg woman was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child on August 30, 2018 following a call to police about an unattended child.

According to New York State Troopers, officers were sent to a residence in Steamburg for a report of an unattended child. Investigation revealed that the two year old child arrived at the caller’s house and was there for two hours before Heather Ness retrieved her child. This has allegedly occurred on multiple occasions.

Ness was placed under arrest and issued an appearance ticket, directing her to appear in the town of Cold Spring Court on a later date.
