James “Jelly” Gizzarelli, Jr. of Lewiston, NY passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2018 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born on March 10, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Vincenzo and Madeline Cesari Gizzarelli. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard of New York with a military career spanning from 1965 – 1985. James was retired from Harrison Radiator. He was a member of VFW Post 313, Youngstown, American Legion, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Holy Name Society of St. Peter R.C. Parish and an avid Karaoke singer.

Husband of the late, Lorraine House Gizzarelli, he is survived by his children, Tammy (Robert) Latini, Brenda (Michael) Gizzarelli, Tina (David) Gizzarelli and Vincent Gizzarelli; grandfather of 25; great grandfather of 14; sister, Rose D’Agostino and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son, Robert Waltz and siblings, Joseph Cicero, Anthony (Rose) Gizzarelli and Mary (late John) Telatnik.

Friends may call on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM from St. Peter R.C. Parish, 620 Center Street, Lewiston. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery.
