NEW YORK — The Buffalo Sabres fell 4-3 to the New York Rangers in their first game back following a six-day break.

Buffalo goals came from Rasmus Ristolainen, Kyle Okposo and Justin Falk. Robin. Sam Reinhart and Jack Eichel each had two assists. Okposo also had an assist. Netminder Robin Lehner made 30 saves for Buffalo.

Rick Nash scored two of New York’s four goals.

The back-and-forth affair saw Buffalo tie the game with just 5:01 to play in the third. Pavel Buchnevich scored the game-winning goal for New York just over a minute later.

Buffalo, who have lost five of their last six games, next takes to the ice on Saturday, taking on the Dallas Stars at 1 p.m. at KeyBank Center.
