BROCKPORT — Ronni Kordrupel (East Aurora/Iroquois) set a school record in the mile and also won the 800-meter run to lead Buffalo State today at the Brockport Golden Eagle Invitational.

Kordrupel set the school mark in the mile with a winning time of 5:13.16 and also won the 800-meter run, clocking 2:25.04. Catarra Burroughs (Rochester/Wilson Magnet) also won twice for the Bengals.  Her winning time in the 60-meter dash in the 14th best in Division III this season entering today at 7.83 seconds, and she also won the 200-meter dash (26.18). Dayonna Holmes (Rochester/Charlotte) was runner-up in the 200-meter dash (26.25), placed third in the long jump (5.52m) and was fifth in the 60-meter dash (8.05). Elizabeth Wall (Horseheads/Horseheads) finished fourth in the 3,000-meter run (11:15.22), and Ashley Lyons (Freeport/Freeport) was fifth in the 400-meter dash (1:01.51).

Buffalo State will return to the Brockport Special Events & Recreation Center next Friday and Saturday for the SUNYAC Indoor Championships.
