The Niagara men’s and women’s tennis teams will head to Cleveland on Saturday for dual matches. The men will play Oberlin College at Noon followed by Cleveland State, and the women will play Cleveland State at 6 p.m.

The men’s team will play its second and third matches of the spring season after losing its spring opener to Youngstown State on Jan. 20. Taylan Ozdemir picked up Niagara’s lone win in the match. Ozdemir edged Thomas Rodrigues in three sets, 6-4, 3-6, 10-8. Ozdemir improved to 2-0 in dual matches and 7-5 overall this season. Felipe Fuentes is second on the team with five singles wins. In doubles, the team of Josh Wilson and Fuentes is a team-best 7-5

On the women’s side, Niagara will be playing its second match in three days after playing its home opener against Detroit. The Purple Eagles are looking for their first win of the spring season.
