While on an unrelated traffic stop, Troopers were flagged down by a passing motorist who reported a single car property damage accident where the driver got out of the vehicle and fled the scene.

Troopers immediately responded and located a car that struck a utility pole with the operator not in sight. A K9 unit responded and began a track, successfully tracking the suspect through rugged terrain.

Donald Frost, 25, of Marilla was located halfway down a ravine. Investigation revealed that Frost had tried to turn sharply after seeing Troopers on the unrelated stop lost control and struck the utility vehicle.  He was issued numerous vehicle and traffic tickets including switched plates, and then brought to the City of Buffalo on his outstanding warrants.
