
EDISON, N.J. – Thirteen members of the Niagara women’s soccer team were named to the 2016 MAAC All-Academic Team announced on Wednesday.
Seniors Amanda Gallo, Naomi Giovino, Laura Ortiz. Emily Phillips, Shangyne Samuels, Shawnique Samuels and Kori Thorne were named to the All-Academic Team, as well as juniors Eva Bachmann, Amelia Gulley and Kelsey Lafferty, and sophomores Tuesday Jordan, Kristina Vassallo and Shania van Nuland.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or above on a 4.0 scale.
