Alice Marie Rice (Sunshine) 63 passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer with her loved ones by her side. She was born in Lewiston, N.Y. on August 26, 1953 a daughter of the late Leo Ethelene Rickard Rice. Loving mother of Letitia Rice and cherished beloved Sunshine of granddaughter Jillien Marie.
She was a native of the Tuscarora Indian Reservation and a 1971 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield high school and Cheryl Fells School of Business. Alice was employed by NYS Power Authority Clark Energy Control Center in Marcy NY until her retirement.
She is survived by her loving daughter Letitia M Rice, adored granddaughter Jillien Marie, and loving companion Marc Mascaro. She is also survived by sister Elaine St. Martin of Oregon, brothers Edwin J; Donald R Rice. Many loving nephews, nieces and their children , numerous cousins and very dear best friend Sandra Domin. She was predeceased by sister Joyce A Rice.
Her funeral will be held Saturday November 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Tuscarora Baptist Church, Sanborn, New York. Calling hours will be held Friday November 4, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Rhoney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn, New York. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lewiston, New York. Arrangements in care of Wolanin Funeral Home, Inc. NY Mills.
