James M. Kanalley passed away suddenly August 3, 2016. Born in Buffalo December 31, 1954 he was the son of Wallace J. and Mildred (McQuaid) Kanalley. James worked from 1968 to 1980 for International Chimney Corp as a Steeplejack and from 1981 till 2012 when he retired from the NFTA where he was a mechanic. Upon his retirement he did side jobs working on outdoor equipment and working for Dan’s Auto Repair. He was an avid race fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. James was a member of ATU 1342 and attended the Victory Christian Church.

James is survived by his wife Maryann (LaGreca) Kanalley of Lockport; father of Erica (Jerry Behe), Erin, James Jr., and Brian P.; and his five grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, Aug. 5th 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where services will be held Saturday, Aug. 6th at 12 noon.
