Jimmy Eat World is an American rock band formed in Mesa, Arizona in 1993. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Adkins, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch, and drummer Zach Lind. They have released 10 studio albums, the last nine featuring the current lineup.

Jimmy Eat World’s early sound was characterized by their punk rock influences, but they soon evolved into a more melodic and accessible sound. Their breakthrough album, Bleed American, was released in 2001 and featured the hit singles “The Middle” and “Pain.” The album was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to establish Jimmy Eat World as one of the leading bands of the emo genre.

In the years since Bleed American, Jimmy Eat World has continued to release critically acclaimed albums and tour extensively. They have also collaborated with other artists, such as The Get Up Kids and Motion City Soundtrack. In 2016, they released their most recent album, Integrity Blues.
