Alfred G. “Twoey” Williams, 80, of Sanborn, NY, passed away on December 19, 2022 at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Alfred and Alma Leah (Johnson) Williams.
Twoey was a member of the Onondaga Eel Clan and was raised on the Tuscarora Reservation. He was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School. In 1965, Alfred married Carolyn (Jones) Williams at the Tuscarora Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams predeceased him in 1989. Twoey was employed as an Iron Worker with Local #9 in Niagara Falls, NY for over 40 years until his retirement in 1998. Alfred was an avid Washington Redskins fan. Although he was a fairly private man, Twoey cherished time spent with his family and attending family functions.
Alfred is survived by his siblings, Lilli Rae (Hubert) Swanson, Karl (Cindy) Williams, and Wendell (Kim) Williams, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife of 24 years, Alfred was predeceased by his brother, Lynn Arnold ‘Spud’ (Patricia) Williams.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22 from 12 – 1 PM at the Tuscarora Indian Mission Church, 5035 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132, where funeral services will begin at 1 PM. Private interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Lewiston, NY will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.
