NIAGARA FALLS — A 24-year-old Niagara Falls woman was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Niagara Street.

According to New York State Police, Kristie Stroup was stopped for a turn signal violation around 1:55 p.m. and was determined to be intoxicated. She was taken into custody for DWI and transported to SP Niagara, where a breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .13 percent.

Stroup was issued appearance tickets for the City of Niagara Falls Court.
