PORTER — A 60-year-old Town of Niagara man was seriously injured early this morning in a one-car crash at Creek and Blairville roads.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, Robert D. Raczka of Chester Avenue was found with a severe laceration on his head following the crash in which his 2009 Ford pickup trick passed through a stop sign on Creek Road at Blairville Road, going off the west side of Blairville Road and through a ditch and chain-link fence, narrowly missing a storage facility building before going through a second fence and striking a tree.

Mercy Flight transported him to Erie County Medical Center where he remains in critical condition this afternoon.

Police believe he may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the accident, which remains under investigation.
