LOCKPORT — A 28-year-old North Tonawanda woman was charged with welfare fraud following an investigation by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Niagara County Sheriff Jim Voutour, Jordan R. McMullen received over $3,000 worth of benefits between January 2016 and May 2016 that she was not eligible for due to the fact she failed to report income on paperwork submitted to the Department of Social Services.
Her charges include fourth-degree grand larceny and first-degree filing a false instrument. She was released on an appearance ticket to return to Lockport City Court on Sept. 14.
