Senior Katelyn Tyler has been the Griffs most productive offensive weapon, ranking fourth in conference play in kills per set at 2.95 and sixth in points per set with 3.24 per game, while freshman Cassidy Ceriani is fifth in the conference in assists per set average at 7.44 per game.
Tyler leads all Griffs with a 3.11 kills per set average and a 3.11 digs per set average through 13 games, with Ceriani having the highest assists per set average at 7.44 and attack percentage at 2.15. Freshman Leah Simmons leads the Blue and Gold with a 0.78 blocks per set average.
Canisius heads into its 10th meeting with Quinnipiac, holding a perfect 9-0 record against the Bobcats. Quinnipiac is 13-5 overall and 5-0 in MAAC play. The Bobcats have swept Saint Peter’s, Siena, Iona and Manhattan in their last four games. Senior Allison Leigh and junior Elizabeth Kloos are tied for first in the MAAC in attack percentage at .320. Leigh also leads the MAAC in blocks per set at 1.39. Freshman Maria Pansari leads the MAAC with 10.36 assists per set
Fairfield is also a perfect 5-0 in MAAC play, with a 12-5 overall record. The Stags have beaten Saint Peter’s, Rider, Manhattan, Iona and Marist in conference action to begin the season. The team is led by offensively by Skylar Day, who is averaging a MAAC best 3.76 kills per set. Day also leads the MAAC with 4.17 points per set.
