DUNKIRK — A 34-year-old Dunkirk woman was charged witih driving while intoxicated early this morning following a traffic stop on Route 5.

According to New York State Police,Kristine Thurston failed several field sobriety tests after being pulled over for running a red light. She was then taken to the Fredonia Troopers’ barracks where she was found to have a .13 percent blood alcohol content.

She was charged, processed, issued tickets returnable to City of Dunkirk Court and released.
