JAMESTOWN — A 20-year-old Panama man was charged Saturday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and a 20-year-old Jamestown man was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on East 2nd Street.

According to New York State Police, Michael Segura-Pace of Jamestown was pulled over for a loud exhaust. While Troopers spoke to Segura-Pace and his passenger,  Dillon Mescall of Panama, they noticed marijuana inside the vehicle.

After searching the occupants and the vehicle, Segura-Pace was found to be in possession of a bag containing four grams of marijuana and a marijuana cigarette and Mescall was found to be in possession of concentrated cannabis. Segura-Pace was released with an appearance ticket on scene and Mescall was transported to SP Jamestown where he was processed and later released with an appearance ticket.  Mescall and Segura-Pace are both scheduled to appear in the City of Jamestown Court later in the month.
