The Niagara University women’s track and field team will compete at SUNY Geneseo Early Season Invite on Sunday.
Last time out, Sophomore Jamie Guadagno scored a 4.75m jump which placed her ninth in the event. With a throw of 11.82m Sophomore Maggie Gerard finished in ninth place in the shot put. Freshman Nicole Torres finished first for the Purple Eagles with a time of 1:10.89 in the 400M hurdles. Freshman Alex Laubert finished with a time of 16.62 in the 100m hurdles which led the Purple Eagles and gave her an eight place finish overall. Megan Helf and Aly Orfano each set personal-records in the 5K with times of 19:51.31 and 20:28.68, respectively. Kayla Murphy finished first for the Purple Eagles with a time of 19:35.37. Sarah Grubbs finished the 800m run with a time of 2:25.85 which led the Purple Eagles and earned an 11th place finish overall.
