MUNCIE, Ind. – The University at Buffalo women’s tennis team dropped their second straight Mid-American Conference match on Sunday afternoon on the road at Ball State by the score of 5-2. With the loss, the Bulls fall to 6-7 overall and 0-2 in MAC play while the Cardinals improved to 16-2 overall and 4-0 in MAC play.

The Bulls opened doubles action strong at No. 1 doubles as the team of Tanja Stokanovska and Margarita Kotok defeated Rosalinda Calderon and Julia Sbircea by the score of 6-2. The Cardinals were able to collect wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to collect the doubles point.

Ball State dominated singles action on Sunday as they won four of the six single matches. At No. 6 singles, Anna Savchenko was able to defeat Rosalinda Calderon 4-6, 6-4, 10-3. At No. 3 singles, Emel Abibula earned a strong win over Toni Ormond by the score of 6-0, 6-7 (9-11), 11-9.

Buffalo will return to the courts on Friday afternoon as they head to Kalamazoo, Mich. to take on the Western Michigan Broncos at 1 p.m.
