Erie County Director Mark C. Poloncarz gave his closest friend a job which paid 6 figures, so he created a job called Inspector General of Erie County. This job isn’t listed on our list of civil service jobs. Mike Szukala was the man Mark gave this job to. Mr. Szukala is an accountant.
Mark Poloncarz needs close friends to keep him in office. Mr. Poloncarz sends Mr. Szukala to all the important meetings in Amherst to keep him informed of what’s happening in our town.
Perhaps a more descriptive term would be to say he is a “slug boy” for his friend, Mark Poloncarz. He’s making big money just because of the messed up system politics is in today.
At the last Amherst Town meeting Szukala spoke about how much he favors the ImagineAmherst project. I tried to contact Mr. Poloncarz to get his take on ImagineAmherst. He has refuse to talk to me but it did come down to me that he is in favor of this project.
Mr. Poloncarz is spreading his wings by getting involved in other towns business. He is trying to draw the attention of the New York politicians for a chance to move up the political ladder.
