BUFFALO — Head volleyball coach Blair Brown Lipsitz has announced the addition of Paige Beck and Paige Yoder, who both signed their National Letters of Intent.  Both players will join the Bulls for the upcoming 2018 season.
Beck is a 5-5 libero from Toledo, OH who played her high school volleyball for Sylvania Northview and her club ball for the Premier Academy. She earned four letters and served one year as captain at Sylvania Northview as she became just the second player in school history to go over 1,000 career digs.
Beck had 415 digs and 63 aces as a senior as she was named first-team All-League, second-team All-District, and All-Ohio Honorable Mention.  Beck was also named an Under Armour All-American nominee and was an Academic All-League selection.
“Paige Beck is going to bring us even more stability in the back row,” said Lipsitz. “She has a great platform and a fiery disposition for the game.”
Yoder is a 5-10 middle blocker/right side from Davis, IL, who played at Keith Country Day School.  As a freshman, Yoder was part of a team that finished second at the State Championships.  She was also named an Illinois High School all-star in 2018.
During her last two seasons at Keith Country, Yoder hit .368 as she had 230 kills in 63 sets as a senior.
“Paige Yoder has the ability to play a variety of positions for us pin to pin,” said Lipsitz. “She is a good blocker who sees the game well and will raise the level of competition in our gym.”
