BUFFALO, N.Y. — Canisius senior John Dantonio‘s two-round score of 152 has him tied for 15th in the field after the first two rounds of the Titans Motown Collegiate, hosted by Detroit Mercy at Prestwick Village Golf Club in Highland, Mich. on Monday.
 
As a team, Canisius shot a two-round team score of 616, which ranks seventh in the 10-team field and three strokes back of sixth-place Green Bay.
 
GRIFFS’ LINEUP
After shooting a 79 in round one, Dantonio came back to card a one-over par 73 in the second round. SophomoreMatt Genaway is tied for 19th after he shot 153 (72-81), and junior Jaret Chipman is tied for 25th in the field after he finished the day with a two-round score of 155 (79-76).
 
TEAM LEADERBOARD
Canisius’ team score of 616 came after the Blue and Gold posted back-to-back team scores of 308. Grand Valley State leads the team portion of the tournament after day one with a score of 582, 10 strokes better than second-place Ferris State.
 
INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD
Ferris State’s Andrew Hammett leads the tournament after the first two rounds thanks to a two-round tally of 138, highlighted by a six-under score of 66 in the second round.
 
NEXT ON THE TEE
The Griffs will close out the 2018 fall schedule on Tuesday when the team takes to the course for the third and final round of the Titan Motown Collegiate.
