NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The Purple Eagles open a five-game home stand on Thursday, Oct. 18, hosting crosstown rival Canisius at 6:00 p.m. for the first match of the annual Battle of the Bridge series.

- The Purple Eagles took a road trip to New Jersey last weekend to face Saint Peter’s and Rider. Niagara split its matches, defeating the Peacocks, 3-2, and falling to the Broncs, 3-0.
- On the weekend, Caroline Leitch led the team in kills, averaging 2.62 kills per set.
- Jaycie Roberts averaged a team-best 3.75 digs per set. She also added 2.38 kills per set. Roberts recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 13 kills and a career-high 22 digs.
- Jessica Streuer led the team in assists with 70 total and an average of 8.75 per set. She recorded her eighth double-double of the season against Saint Peter’s with 48 assists and 11 digs.

- Emillie Wright averages a team-best 3.77 digs per set and ranks seventh in the conference in digs. Roberts is ninth in the MAAC in digs, averaging 3.45 digs per set.
- Streuer leads the team in assists; she has tallied 542 total assists and averages 7.97 assists per set, which is the eighth-best in the MAAC.
- Grace Hetterscheidt is fifth in the conference in hitting percentage (.283).
- Overall, the Purple Eagles are fourth in the MAAC in hitting percentage (.186), fifth is assists (10.82 per set) and fifth in kills (11.50 per set).

Canisius Golden Griffins (9-10, 7-3 MAAC)
- Leah Simmons leads the Griffs in kills, averaging 3.13 kills per set, which is fourth-best in the MAAC.
- Sofia Lopez Acosta leads Canisius and the MAAC in digs with 5.51 digs per set.
- Cassidy Ceriani leads the team in assists with 9.23 per set. She ranks fourth in the MAAC in assists.
- Camila Vasquez has the second-best hitting percentage (.321) in the conference.
- The Griffs lead the MAAC with a .231 hitting percentage. They are second in assists (12.12 per set), kills (13.23 per set) and digs (16.39) per set and fourth in blocks (1.72 per set).
