
BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women’s tennis team wrapped up the fall season with the UB Indoor Invite as they hosted student-athletes from St. John’s, Syracuse and Niagara at Miller Tennis Center this weekend.
On Friday afternoon Buffalo took on St. John’s in doubles action with Esmee Andresen and Maria Glowacka coming away with a 7-5 over the Red Storm.
On Saturday in singles action, Sarah Hartel defeated St. John’s 6-4, 7-6 and Glowacka also defeated the Red Storm, overcoming a dropped first set to win 2-6, 6-3, 10-4. Three more Bulls earned victories on the day, all over Niagara, as Sofia Zagumennova won 6-1, 6-0 and Liv Roestel picked up a 6-1, 6-3. Sophomore Blanca Berges also won her match due to a St. John’s injury.
Buffalo will return to action on January 30 when they host Le Moyne at Miller Tennis Center.
