Jean M. Rosenberg (Mussari), 89, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on February 20, 2025, at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Maria C. (Paonessa) Mussari.
Jean attended local schools graduating from Niagara Falls High School in 1953. On March 5, 1972 she married Burton Rosenberg at Temple Beth Zion, Buffalo, NY. Mr. Rosenberg predeceased her on July 15, 2011. Jean was employed for 38 years at EI DuPont as an executive assistant to the plant manager until retiring in 1999. Jean was a First Vice President of the St. Francis Guild and was an active volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital and later at Memorial Medical Center and served on the Board of Directors for Riverdale Cemetery. She was a member of St. Peter’s R.C. Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Jean was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling, playing cards and playing bocce in local leagues.
Jean is survived by her son, Maurice M. Rosenberg, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Rose A. Mussari, Phyllis Mussari, Anita S. Mussari, Mary Mussari, Theresa (Chester) Krawczyk, Angeline (late Robert) Kujawa, Joseph Mussari, and Louis Mussari.
There will be no prior visitation. Jean’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 10 AM at St. Peter’s R.C. Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY 14092. Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
