Rodger Carter Morrison, 75, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 17, 2025, at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Harold W. and Jean L. (Carter) Morrison.

Rodger went to local schools and was a 1967 graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  After high school, he worked as a payroll clerk for the 914th Airlift Wing of the US Air Force Reserve for one year.  In 1968, he went to work as an inspector at Delphi Thermal Systems, where he worked for closed to 4 years.  Rodger then worked for the 914th Airlift Wing as a Personnel Systems Manager until 1974.  From 1974 until 1979, he drove for LaSalle Taxicab.  In 1976, he went to work as a Personnel Technician for the 107th Fighter Wing of the New York Air National Guard until 1979, when he moved to Illinois and took a position as Personnel Manager for the 182nd Tactical Air Support Group of the Illinois Air National Guard.  In 1984, he moved to Texas, where he took the position of Personnel Manager at the 147th Fighter Wing of the Texas Air National Guard.  In 1996, Rodger retired from the Texas Air National Guard as a Chief Master Sergeant after twenty-six years of service to his country.

After retiring from the Air National Guard, he worked briefly as a recruiter for an executive search firm in Houston, TX prior to returning to his hometown of Niagara Falls.  In 1997, upon returning here, Rodger began work as a HR Generalist at TeleTech until 2001.  He also worked as a HR Generalist for Telespectrum in Buffalo until it ceased operations in 2003.  Shortly afterwards, he became a self-employed consultant to the New York State Department of Education, where he helped disabled individuals find employment.

Rodger was an active member of the Airbase Retirees’ Activities Office, Heart, Love and Soul, and St Stephen’s Episcopal Church.  He enjoyed fishing, frequenting casinos, attending concerts and plays.  He was also a work out enthusiast, and he also enjoyed hiking, going to parks, and traveling.  Most of all, Rodger cherished the time he spent with his family.

Rodger is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patricia A. (Nonis) Morrison; his children, Ronda (Ken) Grose, Rodger W. Morrison, and Nicole Morrison; his grandchildren, Ryan Morrison, Raylnn (Tyler) Dragonette, Mariah Juarez, Justin Rees, Carley Morrison, Kaila Morrison and Scott Wieglus; his great-grandchildren, Amariano Porter, Lillianna Porter, and Emilliano Porter; his sister, Cathie Morrison, several nieces, a nephew, and his Godparents, Mark and Sharon McMahon.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Ryan Morrison.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 11 AM at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 616 Cayuga Drive, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, concluding with Military Honors.  Private interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Heart, Love and Soul, https://heartloveandsoul.org/, or to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 616 Cayuga Drive, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Arrangements by M.J.
