Niagara County Public Works Commissioner Garret Meal today announced the Niagara County Golf Course on Davison Rd. in Lockport will be closed Mon., Oct. 28 through Wed., Oct. 30 so that the parking lot can be paved. Groff’s Café on the Green will also be closed during this time. The golf course and restaurant will reopen on Thurs., Oct. 31.
“Many golfers have been taking advantage of the great weather in October to continue to play at the county course so we apologize for the inconvenience of closing the course for a few days,” said Meal. “However, we want to complete this project before the weather turns and if we miss our window, it will be delayed into next spring which we want to avoid.”
Meal said the golf course does not have a firm date for closing for winter, but will stay open as long as weather permits. To reach the golf course, call 716-439-7954.
