Sasha Kramarz, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Robert Sr. and Helen (DeRoche) Peckham; and the beloved wife of the late Michael J. Kramarz whom she married at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in 1968.
Sasha was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls where she attended local schools. She began working as a waitress at the former Mister S’s alongside her sister, Mary Considine, and later worked at the Polish Nook for many years.
Sasha was devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. John de LaSalle Church. Praying to Mother Mary was part of her everyday life. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed mystery and romance novels. Sasha also loved staying on top of local news with the local newspaper. Prior to her illness, she loved to walk everywhere.
Sasha is survived by her son, James (Debbie) Buchalski who she was happily reunited with after many years apart; her nieces and nephews, Sharon Mills, Nora Fraser, Dennis Fraser, Glenn Considine, Helen (Ronald) Aderhold, Laurie Travis, Phylis (Gerald) Aderhold, Kenny Considine (late), Robert Peckham Jr. Thomas Peckham, Theresa Peckham (late), Steve (Mindy) Peckham, Jeff (Barbara) Peckham, Gregg (Cheryl) Peckham, Tim Wamsley (Diane), Mare Lynn Fitch, as well as her sister-in-law, Janice (late Maurice) Fitch and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Sasha was predeceased by her sisters, Neva (late Clarence) Fraser and Mary Considine; her brothers Robert Sr. (late Justeen) Peckham and Harry (late Charlotte) Peckham.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 25 from 11:00 – 1:00 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Memorial offerings may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at secure.qgiv.com/for/pulfibfou/
