BUFFALO – Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia reports the arrest and extradition of Naim Tabb, 24, from Cobb County, Ga. to Erie County.

On the afternoon of Monday November 27, 2023, after a brief narcotics investigation led by the ECSO Narcotics & Intelligence Unit, and assisted by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the Buffalo Police Department, ECSO personnel attempted a traffic stop on Tabb. Tabb fled in a vehicle and was unable to be located. A short time later, ECSO Narcotics & Intelligence personnel executed a search warrant at 131 Sage Avenue, lower apartment, Buffalo. ECSO personnel recovered a large quantity of suspected fentanyl, suspected methamphetamine, and a handgun.

On the morning of December 1, 2023 an arrest warrant was issued for Tabb charging him with Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug 1st Degree (A1 Felony), Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug 2nd Degree (A2 Felony), Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug 3rd Degree (B Felony), Criminal Possession of a Loaded Weapon 2nd Degree (C Felony), and various other narcotics related charges.

On January 4, 2024, the U.S. Marshals Task Force took Tabb into custody in Georgia. He arrived at the Erie County Holding Center on January 17, 2024 after being extradited from the Cobb County Jail in Marietta, Ga.

Tabb was arraigned in Buffalo City Court on January 19, 2024. He was remanded.
