On January 20, 2024, Troopers out of SP Amity arrested Robert D. Lozina, 57 of Angelica, NY for Driving While Intoxicated- BAC > 0.08 and other vehicle and traffic infractions.
On January 20, 2024, at 1:06 A.M., Troopers stopped Lozina on Ballard Road in the town of Hume for traffic infractions. While interviewing Lozina, an odor of alcoholic beverage was present. Lozina was placed under arrest after showing signs of impairment. Lozina refused to perform SFSTs due to a medical condition. Lozina transported to SP Amity for processing and refused to take a chemical test to determine BAC.
Lozina was arraigned at the Town of Hume Court where his license was revoked for refusal and released on his own recognizance for a later date in February 2024.
