John Krasinski, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2023 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas and Anna (Pasierbowicz) Krasinski.
John graduated from Trott Vocational High School, where he studied in the Machine Shop. While at Trott, he met his future wife, Carol A. (LeBlond) Krasinski, and on February 24, 1960, they were married at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Niagara Falls, NY. John proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1968. John was employed at Oxy Chemical Corporation for 33 years from 1969 until his retirement in 2002.
John was a member of the LaSalle Baptist Church, where he served as treasurer, song leader, and also drove for the bus ministry. He was a current member of the Forestview Church of God. John enjoyed spending time with family, traveling with Carol, as well as listening to Saturday morning polkas. Above all, John will be remembered for his love of God and family, his happy and easy-going nature, and the friendly hellos he shared with all those he encountered.
In addition to his beloved wife of 63 years, John is survived by his children, Tammie (Chris) Peer, Terri (John) Gregg, and Thomas (Marina) Krasinski; 11 grandchildren, Chris Peer Jr., Charlie (Kara) Huffstutler, Amy Peer, Michael Peer, Rachael (Jason) Glass, John (Jessica) Peer, Stefanie (Mike Lane) Peer, Holly (Paul) Kellmurray, Andrew (Rachel Fritz) Gregg, Julie Gregg, and Elizabeth Krasinski; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, his mother-in-law, Constance (late William) LeBlond, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Sophie (late Clem) Roman, Ted (late Roberta) Krasinski, and Irene (late Dick) Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 AM, concluding with Military Honors. Interment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Forestview Church of God. Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
