Roberta J. Simone, 74, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 23, 2023 at her residence under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia (Howard) Kresman.
Roberta attended local schools and was a High School graduate. On November 5, 1966, she married Jeralamo A. ‘Jerry’ Simone at Our Lady of the Rosary Church. Mr. Simone predeceased her on December 26, 1993. Roberta was employed as a cashier at Wal-Mart for 20 years, from 1997 until her retirement in 2017. Roberta enjoyed reading, camping with friends in Central New York, solving puzzles, playing board games with her grandkids and attending their sporting events.
Roberta is survived by her children, Theresa (late Robert) Baker and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Simone; her 6 grandchildren, Janicee Simone, James (Danielle) Simone, Jacob Simone, Gianna Simone, Talia Simone, and Jeralamo Simone; her great-granddaughter, Thea; her sisters, Marcia (late Tim) Tyrrell and Sandra (Paul) Dotter; her best friend, Elizabeth Dodge, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband of 27 years, she was sadly predeceased by her son, James Simone, and her brother, Thomas (Evie) Kresman.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 26 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, Niagara Hospice, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
