NIAGARA UNIVERSITY — A 68-year-old Town of Niagara woman was found deceased on the campus of Niagara University early this afternoon.
According to a press release from the Lewiston Police Department, officers were dispatched to the campus at approximately 1:45 p.m. for an unresponsive person. Upon arrive, police found a woman who had appeared to have dies of “weather related conditions.”
The press release stated that “preliminary investigation suggests that the female wandered away from a home last night and succumb(ed) to weather conditions.”
The woman was identified as Emily Neal.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
