On December 15, 2023, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation out of SP Lockport charged Alexis M. Cleveley, 22 of Newfane with three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child less than 17 years old.
On February 10, 2023, Troopers out of SP Lockport received a complaint of possible child abuse at Sweet Angels Day Care in Newfane. Investigation determined that Cleveley was acting in a manner that was endangering the welfare of children under the age of 17, either verbally or physically.
Cleveley was arrested and processed at SP Lockport and issued appearance tickets to the town of Newfane Court for December 19, 2023.
