Greenwood, IN—College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the honorees for the 2023 Volleyball Academic All-District team. Niagara landed four student-athletes on the All-District team, Laryssa ImbuzeiroBella PeroniLexi Bapst, and Cassie Seminoff all earned the honor.

Imbuzeiro appeared in 91 sets this season while starting in all 27 matches while earning All-MAAC Second Team honors. She set career highs in solo blocks, block assists, total blocks, points per set, digs per set, kills per set, and hitting percentage. She finished the season as the MAAC blocking champion as she averaged 1.42 blocks per set along with 24 solo blocks and 105 block assists all of which led the MAAC. She also finished seventh in the MAAC in hitting percentage at .245 with 135 kills. The 129 blocks in the sixth best in program history. The Northville, MI native is a Sport Management major with a 3.95 cumulative GPA. She has been named to the MAAC All-Academic Team in back to back seasons.

Peroni played and started in all but one match this season as the libero. She finished second in the MAAC in digs per set with 3.98 digs per set. She had 350 digs which led Niagara and was fourth in the MAAC in digs. She set career highs in digs, assists, service aces, and points. The Chardon, OH native was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team for the second straight year and currently holds a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA as a Chemistry major.

Bapst had a career season in her final year with the Purple Eagles. She appeared in a career high 79 sets while having a career high 213 kills which is 56 more than her previous career high of 157. She also had a .157 hitting percentage which set a new career high. On the defensive side she had a career high 250 digs along with 29 total blocks. Her 255.0 points was career high and led Niagara. She had 27 service aces which was seventh in the MAAC while her 3.15 digs per set was sixth in the MAAC. Bapst was named to the MAAC All-Academic team for the third straight year as the Grove City, OH native had a 3.86 undergraduate GPA, she is currently pursuing her MBA.

Seminoff returned to the court in 2023 after missing all of 2022 due to injury. In her final season as a Purple Eagle, she appeared in 78 sets along with 25 matches. She had a career high 186 kills while having a .189 hitting percentage which is a career high. She had 177 digs while also setting a career high with 34 total blocks. She also set a new career high with 12 serve aces while having a career low four service errors. The Phoenix, AZ native notched 217.5 points which was third on the team. In the classroom she is a biology major who has had a 3.83 cumulative GPA. She has been named the MAAC All-Academic Team for three straight seasons.

In order to be eligible for CSC All-District honors an undergraduate student must have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA while also playing in at least 90 percent of sets or having started in 66 percent of total matches.
