Ebelmonda ‘Bella’ Ventresca, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023.  Born in Pentone, Calabria, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria Concettina (Critelli) Marino.

Bella attended schools in Italy and worked as a seamstress. She came to the United States in 1962.  On October 12, 1967, Bella married Tullio Ventresca at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls.  Mr. Ventresca predeceased her on March 9, 2019.  Bella was employed with Walker’s Laundry as a seamstress in the 1960s and later in Housekeeping at the Honeymoon Motel.  First and foremost, Bella was a wonderful homemaker who worked hard along with her husband to support and care for their family, whom they loved dearly.  She was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Church.  A talented seamstress, Bella also loved to cook and bake.  We will miss her special dishes and cookies.

Bella is survived by her children, Sandra (Leon) Borczynski and Joseph (Michelle) Ventresca; her grandchildren, Leon Borczynski, Christina (Ben) Collins, Joseph (Katie) Ventresca, Capt., US Army, Michaela Ventresca, and her step-grandson, Scott (fiancée Renee) Banks; her great-grandchildren, Skylar Collins and Bailey Ventresca; her sister, Angelina (late Antonio) Paonessa, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her husband of 51 years, Bella was predeceased by her in-laws, Antonio (late Paula) Ventresca, Dora (late Felice) Ventresca, Angelina DeJoris and Giovanni (Anna) Ventresca.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 17 from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin on Saturday at 9:15 AM followed by Ebelmonda’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.  Entombment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
