Jacqueline Ann Eodice, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 12, 2023 at her residence under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born May 23, 1934, in Rochester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alta “Murph” (Morrow) Fay.

Jackie grew up in Niagara Falls, New York, and went to LaSalle High School. Jackie married Peter Philip Eodice on May 12, 1956.  Although she had part time jobs over the years at Woolworth’s lunch counter, as a switchboard operator at Sears and Roebuck, and at the unemployment office, she was primarily a homemaker. She was a wonderful friend and had lifelong friendships with her birthday club pals and numerous other friends and neighbors. For many years, Jackie and Pete took a yearly trip to Florida, where they stayed with friends, and she enjoyed walking on the beach and shopping. She loved flea markets, garage sales, and going to the casino.

Jackie enjoyed watching golf and the New York Yankees with Pete and attending the recitals, sports, and other events in her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s lives. Being “Mema” to her grandchildren was her greatest joy.  She loved the music of Andrea Bocelli and Frank Sinatra, family gatherings and almost never missed a party. Last year, she counted herself lucky to see the arrival of her fourth great grandchild, Lucian. We will miss her sense of fun and her unconditional love.

During Jackie’s lengthy illness, her husband, Pete, was her attentive and loving caregiver. The family also wishes to thank Niagara Hospice, and especially her Hospice caregivers Crisanne, Judy, and Heather.

In addition to her husband of 67 years, Jacqueline is survived by her three children, Michele Ann (Kami Day) Eodice, Kari Patricia (Robert) Cannata and Peter Philip (Laurie) Eodice Jr; her grandchildren, Lena Marie (Adam) Patterson, Phillip Charles (Mary) Cannata, and James Rose (Jessica) Cannata; her great grandchildren, Bette Lucia, Vera Marie, and London Grace Patterson, and Lucian Rose Cannata; her brothers Robert (Carol) Allan and Ronald (Patricia) Allan as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jacqueline was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth (late Jimmy) Jacobs.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 15 from 1 – 4 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will begin at 4 PM.  Private entombment will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Niagara Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
