APPLETON — Niagara County Department of Public Works (DPW) Commissioner Garret Meal today announced that a section of West Somerset Road, between Hess and Hosmer roads, will be opened this Friday, October 5. The road has been closed since mid-July for maintenance work on two bridges.

“We are very pleased the project was completed on-time and on-budget and we can reopen the road as scheduled,” said Meal.  “I thank motorists for their patience as we completed this critical infrastructure work,” said Meal.
