WHEATFIELD – On October 3, 2023 at 1816 hours, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Communication Center received multiple commercial burglary alarms from the Niagara International Sports Complex, formerly the Summit Park Mall.

The alarms included several video alarms which showed an individual in the building walking around. Responding units located a door that had been forced open and set up a perimeter. Deputy J. Villani and NYS Trooper R. Shenefiel made entry with NYS Police K9 Arry. K9 Arry was deployed inside the building and located the suspect in the building still in possession of the tools used to break in.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident and identified as 27 year old Wesley A. Mills II of Pendleton, NY. Mills was charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, Possession of Burglar’s Tools, and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree. Mills was transported to the Niagara County Correctional Facility where he is being held for Centralized Arraignment.
