Frank Eugeni, Sr., 88, of Lewiston, NY, and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Luigi and Paradisa (Zuccari) Eugeni. He was predeceased by his dedicated wife and soulmate Loretta (Centofanti) Eugeni who he married on December 4, 1954.
Frank graduated from Trott Vocational High School and began working at the former Kimberly Clark Corporation. He proudly served with the Niagara Falls Fire Department as a Battalion Chief, retiring in 1997 after many years of dedicated service to the community. Frank also worked several years as a Funeral Assistant at the M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.
Frank was a longtime member and former Union President of the International Association of Fire Fighters Local #3359. He was also a board member of the United Way, where he volunteered for numerous years.
Frank had a great sense of fashion. He enjoyed to travel, read and socialize with his friends and family. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his children, Frank Eugeni, Jr. Ret. NFFD, Cindy (Joseph Jr.) Maniscalso and Lisa (Dan) Robbins; his grandchildren, Rachel (Steve) Haseley, Randy (Jenn) Walck, Mathew Eugeni and Angela Eugeni; his great-grandchildren, Braden, Max, Michaela and Randy; his brother, Patsy (Marcia); his sister-in-law, Aurora (late Salvatore) Perricelli; his devoted and beloved Marian Wells, companion of 16 years; as well as several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Frank’s family wishes to thank the staff of Niagara Hospice, especially Emily Edwards for the utmost care and compassion given to Frank.
The family will be present on Friday, August 18 from 9:30 – 10:30 at St. Joseph’s Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, followed by Frank’s Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Private interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorial offerings may be made to the Niagara Falls Fire Department Toy Fund or Niagara Hospice.
