Junior guard Tre Dinkins scored a game-high 29 points and the Canisius defense forced host Concordia to turn the ball over 18 times, as the Golden Griffins cruised to a 91-63 win over the Stingers Monday night in Montreal, Quebec.

With the win, Canisius improved to 2-0 on its 2023 Canadian foreign tour.

Dinkins was one of four Griffs to record double-figures in the scoring column on Monday, as newcomer Cam Palesse scored 17 points, sophomore Devean Williams added 16 points off the bench and senior Bryce Okpoh chipped in 10 points to go with eight rebounds.

Six of the 10 makes from the floor by Dinkins came from 3-point land, and he also added three assists and two steals to his final stat line. As a team, Canisius shot 51.5 percent from the floor and 45.8 percent from 3-point range in the contest.

Defensively, Williams led the way for the Blue and Gold with four steals, as the Griffs turned 18 Concordia turnovers into 21 points. The Stingers shot just 37.5 percent from the floor in the loss, which included a 4-for-18 (22.2 percent) effort from behind the 3-point arc.

Canisius will return to action for its third game on its 2023 foreign tour on Tuesday night, when the squad travels to play the University of Quebec in Montreal.
